Earth Day Is Every Day for Owners of San Diego Foreclosures and REO's

Owners of San Diego foreclosures and REO's have been living green for years.  Investors of San Diego foreclosures and REO's and their children continue to find newer greener ways to enhance their life and care for the planet. Here are a few green tips that you can try.

  • Fix leaky faucets, toilets or water pipes.
  • Wash your car in the rain.
  • Install water saving faucets.
  • Install a programmable thermostat to diminish the heat or air conditioning when you are sleeping or out of the house.
  • Use compact fluorescent light bulbs.
  • Insulate your home against heat/AC loss and periodically check insulation. Fix air leaks with weather stripping and caulking.
  • Insulate your electric hot water heater and pipes. Do not, however, insulate gas heaters and only start insulating gas heater pipes about six inches away from the heater.
  • Walk, cycle or use public transportation whenever possible.
  • Avoid anything battery operated (or use rechargables if batteries are unavoidable).
  • Buy local products
  • Use non-toxic cleaners. Avoid the use of aerosols.
  • Choose water based latex paints over solvent based paints.
  • Replace paper products with reusable ones (use recycled, non-chlorine bleached paper when you do have to use paper).

Every contribution matters when it comes to living a green life and preserving the planet for generations to come.
